'The Old Workshop' is a beautiful One-Bed modern home in easy walking distance to St Ives Town Center, Harbour, Tate Gallery, and beaches. The house has an open-plan living area on the ground floor with a spiral staircase connecting to the spacious light-filled bedroom upstairs. A perfect getaway for couples and singles wanting to escape the city and soak up everything that St Ives has to offer. Also, the entire home is yours to enjoy interruption-free for the entire duration of your trip!
'The Old Workshop' is a creative, light open space, with modern appliances (WiFi, Apple TV and NetFlix) that embraces a casual "Surf Crash Pad" kind of feel. The property catches the morning sunshine through the big open windows filling the space with light, perfect for sinking in to your morning coffee. A spiral staircase connects the downstairs living area with the upstairs bedroom, with Queen size double bed. There is also hard flooring throughout which makes easy work of sandy feet after long days at the beach!! There is a sofa bed available for an extra guest also. The sofa bed converts quickly and easily when you fold out the seat cushions. Great for crashing for a few nights but maybe not ideal for longer stays.
St Ives is full of steep hills as I am sure you are aware! Which is what makes this place great as it is on the relative flat with easy access to the town and beaches without working up a sweat. The house is located on Bedford Road, which is nice and quiet, safe with very little through traffic. 'The Old Workshop' is conveniently located about 150m from the nearest Convenience Store and Banks, 200m from the best Pubs, and about 400m from the Harbour and Porthmeor Beach (that's the one with the Tate Gallery). The house is in such great proximity to the town that it's really easy to pop out and back to re-charge, without having to spend the whole day at the beach or traipsing about town.

A very cosy converted studio. In the heart of Gwithian village, quiet country pub 100m away, 5 min walk over sand dunes to the beach, bar and bistro 10 minute walk through the nature reserve. One double bed in a bunk style (you need to like ladders!)
The studio is part of The Old Post Office in Gwithian, we don't sell stamps but you'll want to send a postcard from here... The double bed is only accessible by ladder - kind of a double adults bunk, it's like being a kid again. The headroom is restricted, but it's super cosy - especially with the wood burning fire roaring below. One dog only please.
The village is a 'proper' village, although we do get lots of visitors to the beach in the summer or walkers taking on the coast path, bird watchers in the right season, surfers / kite surfers / windsurfers when the conditions are right - the locals never leave, which says a lot about a place.

Wake up to the sound of birds tweeting and breathe in the fresh Cornish air. The seating outside in the courtyard of this enchanting cottage offers a serene spot for an afternoon cup of tea.

We have taken care to make sure you have everything you need for the perfect Cornish retreat- from a fully equipped kitchen to handy local information. I have grown up on Hendra Farm. We do not farm animals, so you wont be awakened by moo's or cockadoodledooo's, but we are sure you will love the space to roam around and explore the surrounding woodlands, play on the rope swings and fill your lungs with the fresh coastal air. The Steeple and Steeple Woodlands Nature Reserve are just up the hill. Come back and relax in this zen space. We provide towels - 2 bath towels and a hand towel - and kitchen essentials such as T towels.

With numerous mine house strewn across the cliffs you would be forgiven for thinking you were on a movie set, in fact much of this area has been used as a location for filming the popular Poldark series. he The story of Ross Poldark and a family fortune made on mining copper in the area is based on the minimg history of the area, and the mines of Geevor, Lelant and Botallack are accessible along the coast path that links all three. Provided within this compact space is a comfy double bed with proper mattress, seating area, oven and hob, fridge, hot and cold water, bluetooth stereo, TV and woodburner with logs provided.
Snugly placed in a beautiful setting in the grounds of West Cornwall's oldest thatched farmhouse built in 1245. With a delightful ten minute walk through the St Loy woods, famous for the bluebells in spring, you can enjoy one of West Penwith's most stunning sections of coast. Placed between the historic harbours of Lamorna and Penberth it is in a great location for hiking the coast path. Our beloved family beach house is in the heart of this stunning harbour village. It's a five minute walk to the long sandy surf beach, local pub, beach-front restaurant, and it links on to the famous Cornish coastal walking path. It is ideally located for easy summer holidays of surfing, fishing and walking, and comes with 5 surf boards, 4 body boards and a SUP board. The master bedroom and living area have ocean views, and in winter you can watch the waves rolling in by the wood-burning stove.
Our home is a four-story townhouse set in an accessible mews just one row back from the seafront. We have private parking to the front of the property, and space for a second car in the integral garage, which is also packed with our beach gear (which you are welcome to use). There is also a handy out door shower so you can wash off when returning from the beach, and a ground floor shower to warm up after a few hours in the waves. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. Bedroom 1 is the Master en-suite which has its own private balcony overlooking the cove - an amazing view to wake up to. Next to this is the family bathroom and Bedroom two (twin). The second floor is the heart of the house with an open plan living and kitchen space, again with its own balcony overlooking the Cove with panoramic sea views. It's a great space to relax, where the whole family can be together whether preparing meals, playing games or planning the next day. The kitchen is fully equipped for large family meals. The terraced garden is accessed from the kitchen and has seating and a BBQ area for alfresco dining. On the third (loft) floor is Bedroom three (double) which again has amazing views through the roof velux window. An extra fold-out single bed can be included here if requested.
We think Sennen Cove is just about the most special part of Cornwall. It's a small village and feels quite remote, but equally has so much to offer that you can easily spend a week here without leaving the Cove. Every season offers something special, with spectacular coastal walks around Lands End, on to the Minack and stunning golden beaches like Porthcurno. The coastal path is a short walk from the house. One of the things we love to do is take a coffee down to the harbour early in the morning and watch the fishermen come and go. A few minutes' easy stroll brings you to the large sandy Sennen beach which is perfect to while away a day, as well as being a top surfing beach with two surf schools offering boards and lessons. Food and amenities are easy: we have a great fish and chip shop moments away as well a fantastic St Austell owned pub called the Old Success Inn (book if you want to eat there in high season), and is also an excellent beach bar / restaurant just up from Sennen Beach that does lovely wood-fired pizza - all within an eight-minute walk of our home. The pretty harbour of Mousehole is about a 20 minute drive away and has a range of nice restaurants and pubs to choose from. A bit further afield but an easy day trip at a 35 minute drive, St Ive's is an artistic centre and has masses to offer by way of pubs and restaurants. There are basic shops in Sennen village (at the top of the hill - a steep walk or short drive). There is also a farm store within a five-minute drive that sells beautiful local organic produce. St Just offers a bit more choice or Penzance has great independent shops as well as the larger supermarket chains.

St Ives, once a busy fishing village, now relies on tourism as its main industry. Turner came and painted a landscape in 1811 and art has played a part in St Ives' history ever since. More recently Barbara Hepworth and the Tate Gallery have put St Ives on the modern map. The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is an amazing place to visit, and well worth it even if you're not a budding artist. Trewyn Studios where she lived and worked from 1939 until her tragic death in 1975 has been turned into a fantastic museum, depicting many of her favourite sculptures in the subtropical garden, is now managed by the Tate. The Tate Gallery St Ives was built in 1993 on the former gas works site displaying various paintings, sculptures and ceramics.Skidden House at the bottom of Skidden Hill is the oldest working hotel in the town as well as the first hostelry where Guinness was sold in the UK in circa 1760. St Ives and St Columb Major near Newquay are the only two locations left in Cornwall where 'Hurling the Silver Ball' takes place, once one of Cornwall's most ancient and intriguing customs. St Ives and Carbis Bay have recently been presented with a Silver Gilt as part of the "Britain in Bloom" campaign, they also boast some amazing north coast beaches. But the main draw of the town has always been the stunning golden sands and azure blue waters, with glorious views stretching from Godrevy and Gwithian all the way to Hayle.Porthminster at Harlequins apartments is central for the areas and villages of the west of Cornwall, Land's End, Mousehole, Penzance and St Michaels Mount. Facilities for golf, sailing, course and sea fishing are all available within easy reach. You can take country and coastal walks or visit local country pubs for well-priced meals or shop in the local superstores in St Ives and Penzance. There are a wealth of gardens to explore. The mines at Lelant, Geevor, Bottalack and Poldark are a short drive away. The Minack Theatre and Porthcurno beach are also well worth a visit.

Tucked up behind our brook is a heated garden cabin which is a haven of peace set to the backdrop of the babbling brook. This is an en-suite room set in the grounds of a 19th century Cornish Cottage, in an AONB area. There is a kettle and small fridge. We will be adhering to Airbnb's Covid cleaning protocols, which incudes cleaning thoroughly to the highest of standards as we have always done, and in addition, allowing 72 hours between changeovers for as long as we are advised this is helpful.
Purpose built compact log cabin with pocket sprung double bed. Ideal for upto two, but can actually fit 4 by utilising the sofa bed, although you will lose the floor space then. The space is en suite with a toilet and wash basin and also has a clean and spacious walk in shower - little details that make a big difference. Your hosts are on hand just the same as if you were staying in a room in our cottage but you have the added privacy of being in the garden, and your own bathroom. The cabin doors open out onto a veranda, then down the steps you come to a grassed area, and access to our garden where you can enjoy a cup of tea by the brook, you can turn right and head up the main garden. Somewhere around is a very friendly little cat... If you are allergic to cats please message before booking to establish if this might be a potential problem for you. Generally the cat is not allowed in the cabin but may on occasions have visited guests in there. Please read our reviews to see what others have thought of the cabin, and the hosts
We are located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and are surrounded by public footpaths enabling you to explore the countryside and access some very old stones, wells etc. We are happy to discuss your itinery with you and make suggestions if you don't have one!

The main bedroom with a picture window looking towards the ocean has a king-sized bed, a large fitted wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The rear bedroom has a large skylight, a king sized bed which can be made up as 2’6 twins on request and a small wardrobe/chest of drawers. The quirky shower room is situated off the hall, it's full of character and has a large built in shower enclosure, WC and basin. OUTSIDE To the left of the apartment is a private parking space for one car and we can't emphasise enough what an advantage this is particularly in high season. To the right of the front door in front of the living room window is a lovely decked patio area with a large garden table and four chairs. GOOD TO KNOW There is free WiFi in the apartment. Being this far west it can be erratic in parts of the apartment but is a good speed. Heating and hot water are fed from an electric boiler in the main bedroom. There’s private parking on the drive for one car. ACCESSIBILITY: The apartment is across the ground floor with one step in. Parking is right outside the house. PETS: One dog is most welcome at the Cubby Hole at £25 per week.
LOCATION Sennen Cove was recently voted one of the top five beaches in the UK by the Times Newspaper. Come here and you will see why. It's an expanse of glorious white sand and offers some of the best surfing in Cornwall. Gwenver beach next to it can be accessed at low tide or you can walk the coast path around. Gwenver its dog friendly all year. For a beach holiday it doesn't get much better but it's not all about sun, sea and surf. Head East or West from the Cubby Hole and you are on the South West Coast Path and can enjoy some of the most dramatic coastal walks in the country. For eating out, the village of Sennen has a great pub, the Old Success, a cafe, fish and chips and the large Ben Tunnicliffe beach bar/restaurant overlooking the Cove. At the top of the village is a spar supermarket and on Tuesdays don't miss the fantastic Sennen farmers market. Ten minutes away the lovely Market town of St Just has a deli, two butchers a Co op and a variety of independent shops and galleries. This area is in so many ways untouched by modern life and the far west is much loved for its untamed raw beauty. The Cubby Hole takes in so much of what this magical place has to offer. From the crashing waves of the Atlantic, the dramatic cliffs, stretches of golden sand and some of the best surfing in Cornwall, it’s all on your doorstep for a fantastic holiday.

Esther's Field is a 17th-century granite house with thatched roof set into the hillside above the beautiful white sands of Sennen Cove with fantastic views of the beach from every window. Recently completely refurbished, it has 4 bedrooms, all ensuite, two sitting rooms (both with wood-burning stoves) and farmhouse kitchen with Rayburn and electric oven. The house sits a few minutes walk from glorious Sennen Cove in a large garden. March-Oct minimum let 7 nights, Sat-Sat, otherwise 4 nights min
Esther's Field has a special atmosphere. I think this is partly due to its great age and significance (it is Grade II Listed as a historical building of interest) and its architectural charm. It is also because of its amazing position tucked into the hillside above Sennen Cove, affording vast, all-round views of sea, sky and coastline: truly breathtaking. At Esther's Field, you will find peace and seclusion, but the glorious Cornish countryside, the beach, the sea and the amenities of Sennen itself are all just a few minutes from the house on foot. You will have the best of both worlds!
Sennen Cove is the last village in England as you go west. It is just a few minutes from the famous Land's End. The village itself is charming, set in a wide sweeping cove with a beautiful long, whitesand beach. Plenty of surfing, swimming, snorkelling and watersports to enjoy. There are several little shops, cafes, pubs and galleries in Sennen, and an excellent famers' market. Nearby is the Minack Theatre, Mousehole, Lamorna Cove, myriad beautiful beaches and coves, and the stunning South West Coastal Path to walk.

My home is 3 minutes from the train/bus stations, down a less than picturesque alleyway, though very close to the sea, town; shops, restaurants, pubs. This simple room is on the ground floor; very small (2.3 x 2.1 metres), cosy and perfectly formed and next to the shared bathroom. It is a great base for being out exploring Cornwall. There's a kettle, toaster, crockery/cutlery and no other facilities. Towels are also provided. I live here with my dog and sometimes a lodger or 1-2 other guests.
My house is tucked away, with a private courtyard, though close to the sea and town. It is my home so a working and living space, not a perfect holiday home. It is often quiet, though I regularly have friends visiting, so maybe a little chaotic or peaceful. The room is tiny, which I like and the bed comfy! The bed can be set up as a king size (which takes up most of the room), or as a small single bed.
Penzance is a working cornish town by the sea. It is wonderful because it is full of creative people and surrounded by wonderful land and seascapes. It has many charity shops, lots of pubs, places to eat, the oldest seawater lido in the country and easy access to west penwith (a coastal area with wonderful moorland and sacred sites). It is also a town with poverty and lots of social problems - I hope you will love us for all of this!!

    Chris2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Þetta er yndislegt lítið herbergi með mjög friðsælt andrúmslofti, rétt í miðju Penzance.

    Jane2018-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Mjög gott hús, nálægt lestarstöðinni. Við komum fyrr en við gerðum ráð fyrir en Rachel leyfði okkur að innrita snemma. Hún tók okkur líka í strætó stöðina og sýndi okkur um alla strætó línu. Hún gaf okkur mikið te og einnig borgarleiðsögumenn. Mjög mæla með
