Learn what it takes to be a Pizzaiolo
We're back! It was a long two years. All that's needed now are your hands, your passion, and a little guidance from us and you'll be making and eating exceptional pizza. First I’ll show you how to make dough … and eat a little pizza. I'll teach you about the importance of time and temperature, about different yeasts and how to make poolish. Oh... it's recess... gotta eat some pizza. Next we'll practice what is probably the hardest yet funnest part of all.... opening up a Neapolitan pizza ball. You'll learn to massage the dough, so the air moves outward toward the edge - otherwise known as the cornicione. Now, take a moment , have some pizza. You deserve it. Then you'll learn to dress the pizza and then then launch it into the wood-fired oven. There's no turning back now. In 90 seconds your pizza will be finished. We'll practice this over and over using the same techniques I learned from a world champion. This will be the best class ever because you get to eat your homework!

I sailed San Francisco Bay!
Join us aboard a well-maintained Downeaster 38, a seaworthy bluewater cruiser designed by renowned naval architect Henry Morschlad. This experience is perfect for groups and team building, and can accommodate up to six guests. Please inquire about custom dates! We'll embark on a three-hour adventure from Jack London Square, adjusting our route based on wind conditions. Our goal is to cross the bay and take in the incredible sights of South Beach Harbor (home of the SF Giants), the financial district, the bay bridge, and Treasure Island. Keep an eye out for amazing wildlife, such as flocks of pelicans, sea lions, and even the occasional dolphin! This is an active experience that includes a basic sailing review (wind angle, operating the vessel, and rules of the road). You'll have the opportunity to take the helm, manage the sails, and raise and lower them. Of course, you're also welcome to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views

Pottery in the Mission
We will start with some of the interesting history of the studio space. Then I will get you situated on the wheel and show you how to properly secure your lump of clay. After the clay is secured we start the wheel spinning nice and fast. I will show you how to center the clay which is a very important (and frustrating) stage of making pottery on the wheel. After we successfully center the clay, you will explore how the clay moves and reacts to your touch. We will work to form a simple shape such as a bowl or cup. To finish off we will do some clean up of the form and remove the piece from the wheel in order to start experimenting with the next piece. You can expect to get to practice with around 6 lumps of clay (more if you are ambitious) and most people will create 2-3 pieces by the end of the session. Pieces will be professionally finished, fired, and glazed after the experience. This process takes at least 3 weeks. After the pieces are finished you can pickup in the studio or they can be shipped. Shipping costs are paid by the guest. Other things to note Come wearing clothes that you don't mind getting messy. We will provide aprons. If you have long hair plan to have a hair tie or a way to secure your hair back. Trim long nails if you are able.

Learn how to cook & throw the Ultimate Dumpling Dinner Party
Join a hands-on cooking class and dinner party, where you'll learn how to make mouthwatering dumplings from scratch! You'll discover the secrets of how to create bouncy, delicious dumpling wrappers, build flavorful sauces, and master the art of folding beautiful dumpling pleats. It's perfect for a unique date night, family cooking activity, team building event, or even solo -- suitable for all kitchen skill levels, from new to seasoned chefs! We'll start with a tasting of my favorite soy sauces to deeply understand umami. Then we'll make dumplings from scratch: kneading dough, rolling out dumpling skins, and learning the art of pleating. Once you've created your batch of dumplings, we'll sit at the dining table to create your very own secret dipping sauce, using flavor fundamentals. We'll also eat a slow-cooked pork belly braise: a classic Shanghaineese dish that highlights the umami of soy sauce and principles of slow cooking using local, organic pork. We finish with a red bean dessert -- you'll be in a food coma at the end of the experience! Recipe guides are provided after dinner. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or expanding your cooking skills, the Dumpling Dinner Party is a must-try experience in San Francisco!
Guided Tour of an Iconic Painted Lady Home on Postcard Row
We provide a guided tour of one of San Francisco's most iconic homes- one of the Painted Ladies on Postcard Row, Alamo Square. The Painted Ladies are all private homes, rarely open to the public. Tours are tailored to the interests of the group; film, tv, architecture, history, historic preservation, all presented in an informal, friendly, storytelling format. One of the best preserved of the circa 1894 homes in this row, this home is filled with family heirlooms and the stories of those who once owned them, dating back to 1849 and the Gold Rush. Visitors will have a unique experience of what it is like to live in one of the most well-known homes in America through the eyes of a native, an historian- who has been the owner for over two decades.
See San Francisco from a vintage VW Bus
Looking for an authentic San Francisco experience? Trade the tour bus for a vintage Volkswagen bus that easily navigates the city’s less-traveled lanes from the Golden Gate to the Painted Ladies. You will be picked up at our easily accessible pickup location and driven by one of our professional guides in either Lillie or Harvey, our two fully restored vintage 1971 Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter Buses. The tour will last approximately 3 hours and you will get to see all that San Francisco has to offer including 5 photo stops. Enjoy neighborhoods such as Chinatown, North Beach, The Marina, Haight Ashbury and The Castro with photo stops at Coit Tower, Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Point (under the Golden Gate Bridge), Twin Peaks and Alamo Square. Your guide will drop you off at the same location where you were picked up. Other things to note: Bring a camera, light jacket, and a smile. We'll provide a bottle of water. Make sure to be a little early if possible so you can find the pick-up location.

You'll be dazzled by a special blend of Clyde's own TALL TALES, riotous RHYMES, and fascinating bits of HISTORY. Have fun sorting the fact from the fiction. Keep your eye on Clyde's bag of tricks.
