“Explore one of the oldest and most fascinating buildings in Norwich. Home to wealthy merchants and mayors when Norwich was in its heyday, this beautifully preserved building dates back to 1320. Wander through a maze of passages to discover a series of inter-linked rooms with period settings. See the Tudor Great Hall, the Georgian Dining Room and the magnificent stone-vaulted undercroft. Admire Lady Paine's 17thC bedroom and the panelled Walnut Room. Enjoy delightful collections of historic toys and a cellar full of colourful shop signs. In fine weather, take a stroll in the lavender-filled garden.”

“A great little museum in Wymondham, giving the history of this lovely town and surrounding area. There is a little cafe too. Great to tie in with an explore of the town with its iconic 17th century grade 1 Market Cross, the 900 year old abbey and not to mention it’s quirky little charity shops, I have picked up some great little antique bits from these shops! if you arrive on a Friday morning/third Saturday of the month, there is a market/farmers market in the old market place, next to the historical Market Cross. Wymondham is just 5 miles from the Cartlodge.”

“Walsingham has a long history of religious pilgrimage and a wealth of historic buildings dating from 14th century. There are the remains of a medieval priory surrounded by stunning gardens with seasonal flowers. The Walsingham Abbey Grounds are particularly stunning in February when they are covered in a mass of snowdrops. There are plenty of shops cafes and tea rooms in the village. For narrow-gauge railway enthusiasts there is the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway. Said to be the longest 10 and a quarter inch narrow gauge railway in the world.”
