Lovely large bedroom (Queen Bed plus 2 chairs and desk) on our third floor with a private, vintage bathroom (not en-suite but off the hallway and yours exclusively to use.). Window air-conditioner to keep it cool during the hot summer months.
Immaculate room on the third floor of our home so it is quiet. We have an office on this floor but we use it only during the day.
In the summer the third floor is hot but we have a pretty effective Friedrich window air conditioner in the room so it is comfortable.
The bathroom is "vintage"......which is a nice way of saying "old". It includes a cast iron claw foot tub that's been updated with a hand-held shower. The bathroom itself has an adequate amount of space but the ceiling is sloped so the shower can be considered either charming or challenging depending on how tall you are. It's been OK with virtually all our guests but a number have mentioned that it felt cramped. Sorry...but we can't rebuild the space.
Guests are welcome to self-serve coffee, tea, juice, toast, yogurt, granola, etc. Choose the dining room if you like privacy; the kitchen if you like to talk. We're flexible. If you have specific food preferences (or allergies), please let us know.

We love meeting new people. However, we've found that most of our guests have full agendas when they're here so conversations seem to be in the kitchen or just as people are coming and going.

We have ample off-street parking in our driveway.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING. No additional guests other than those listed on rental.
My husband and I have lived in Providence for almost 14 years and we love being here. It's a wonderfully accessible city and this neighborhood, in particular, is great because you can take advantage of everything easily.
We've traveled throughout South America, Morocco, a good part of Europe, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Hong Kong and my husband has made numerous trips to China.
We both love traveling and entertaining and I'm passionate about languages. I volunteer as an ESL teacher and I speak Spanish fairly fluently, French moderately well, and I've studied Portuguese. We've met lots of students from around the globe through our contacts at International House.
