Below Decks is a smart, spacious, stylish holiday apartment in Kingswear overlooking Waterhead Creek and the river Dart exclusively managed by Dart Valley Cottages. With 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms as well as a large balcony and conservatory across the front that makes the most of the view. The village amenities and ferries to Dartmouth are all within walking distance. Kingswear is a good spot for a holiday with 2 very nice pubs the Steam Packet and the Ship Inn as well as a very cool cafe, Moor@13 and 2 well stocked village pubs. Dartmouth and The South Hams just across the ferry and Paignton, Brixham and Torquay a short drive away. The property is accessed via steps to the patio which runs along the length of the property. Once inside all the accommodation is on one level and additional on road parking yards from the property.
Accommodation: Below Decks is accessed via a flight of steps from the roadside down to the patio which runs along the length of the property. Once inside all the accommodation is on one level. The entrance leads into the conservatory with river and woodland views, furnished with table and chairs. From here a doorway leads into the sitting room which offers comfy furniture, side tables, TV with DVD (extensive collection of DVDs), CD/radio with ipod docking station and feature fireplace with electric fire. An arched entrance from the sitting room leads into the kitchen diner with high gloss units and integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, electric oven and halogen hob, microwave amd dining table and chairs.
The master bedroom is furnished with ornate white French style furniture with a kingsize bed, two large arched windows and an en suite shower room with large shower cubicle, basin, toilet and heated towel rail. There is also a second double bedroom with 4’6” bed and a third bedroom with twin beds. All the bedrooms have built in wardrobes and attractive plantation shutters. The family bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower over the bath, toilet, basin and heated towel rail.
Off the conservatory is a small television room with TV and sofa.
Exterior: The outside is accessed from the conservatory where there is a large sun terrace with terracotta tiles and garden furniture and lovely river views. From here there is a spiral staircase to the elevated parking space. There is also an enclosed garden with lawn and shrubbery reached by a flight of steps from the patio.
The shops and pubs are a 5 minute walk down the hill. At the top is one of the village shops and Moor@13 Cafe, halfway down to the ferry is the Steam Packet Inn that serves great food. A bit further down is the Ship Inn tucked up off to the left. At the bottom you will find the steam railway, ferries to Dartmouth and the second village shop.
In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to Friday changeovers and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please do contact me with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible.
