I'm a retired High School Drama teacher and have lived in the same house here in Tryon since 1978. I travel extensively throughout Europe, having hosted several foreign exchange students. I also travel to Eastern Europe and Central Asia conducting classes and seminars for students and teachers of English. An avid Organic Farmer, I've been involved with gardening interns from throughout the US. My three most favorite things to do are to be with my grandchildren, cooking international dinners and and having 'Happy Hour' with my husband and two big old dogs on our new deck overlooking acres of gardens (small vineyard, fruit trees and bushes, vegetable and herbs). Sometimes catching a glimpse of deer, foxes and an occasional bear. I would be more than happy to give you a tour of Tryon, Polk County and the Upstate, FENCE, TIEC or share my favorite Thrift Shops.
