The only thing I agree with here is that this "house" is for those who are on a budget. We do not flaunt 5-star Marriott hotel-like quality. This is reflected in the price. HOWEVER: This is an amazing stay for the price... full access to common areas, kitchen, laundry and ample parking.
Andrea is severely mistaken and exaggerates intensely. Our photos are not photo-shopped; they literally are the photos we took of the house. I don't even have photo-shop. True, there is no TV, but this is not a HOME (where someone lives full-time) and is not designed or intended as such. This is a HOSTEL, which is basically if a hotel and a HOME had a baby. Hostels are meant for travelers; travelers on a budget who do not concern themselves with the bells and whistles that the entitled upper-class worry themselves with. Our home is cleaned inside every day, in between each guest's stay. The outside was literally mowed and maintained 3 days before Andrea's arrival. Maybe Andrea is from the north where grass does not grow as quickly as it does here during the Southern Summers. Anyway, we do regular and thorough yard maintenance at the home.
As stated in the listing description, this is an OLDER home. That's why it is priced at a much more affordable rate. We are the most affordable Airbnb in Memphis, so, take that as you will. We have hundreds of amazing reviews and many repeat customers. Andrea complained to me that it was not suitable for "old" people in our private messages. First of all, that's very rude and discriminatory. Secondly, the age range of our guests have a very wide range: from the young, solo female traveler to the "elderly" folks as well, including families. We host in a very safe environment. Funny, we've never had any "unsafe" issue to occur at our place. We like to boast a venue of comfort and fellowship where all walks of life can co-mingle and lie their heads down for a night of rest during their journeys.
We also do provide monthly pest control as any house should. This is not a fail-safe guarantee. Any property is still subject to the laws of nature, as we are merely humans doing the best we can with the tools we have available at our disposal.
Like I tell other guests like Andrea ( as she was not very kind or understanding to any degree in our private messages), if you want a 5-star Marriott Hotel experience, but you only want to pay $20 a night, maybe you need to seek other housing situations that better fit your lofty expectations.
Don't you think saying that this is only suitable for the "homeless" is quite laughable? Very insensitive and over-dramatic. Very unpleasant experience with this guest.
