Dance with a former Radio City Rockette! Learn a fun dance routine in the style of the Rockettes and chat with professional performer, Vanessa McMahan.
We’ll get to know each other with a quick introduction where I'll share some Rockette secrets and trivia. A short warm-up will get the blood flowing, followed by a dance routine incorporating the precision technique which focuses on sharp, stylized movements. Of course, we will finish with some world-famous high kicks! At the end, I offer a Q & A segment, where I’ll do my best to answer all your burning questions about being a Rockette and professional dancer here in NYC!
No formal training or experience is necessary. Grab a towel and some water- you will get sweaty!

Vanessa has shined onstage at Radio City as a Rockette, in the Chicago company of Wicked, in an incredible 9 ensemble tracks in Mary Poppins, and at multiple theme parks including Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Hershey Park, and Universal Studios Hollywood (as a pin-up Mrs. Claus!). She’s also appeared on television in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, conquered the high seas performing with Celebrity Cruises, and appeared in regional theater productions, films, and numerous commercials. I did this with my 13 year old niece as a Christmas present and it was the best gift ever & something we’ll always remember! We both loved it and had so much fun! Vanessa is so nice, totally down to earth and encouraging! She broke all the steps down to make it doable! Vanessa saved time at the end for Q & A. We learned lots of Rockette fun facts! I highly recommend this experience!!

Vanessa was SUPER nice and the dancer in my family learned so much and such a great time. Having the experience Vanessa has with professional dancing throughout the nation, and the Rockettes and Broadway, showed through her bubbly personality and her ability to teach. She was so nice and shared so much of her personal life. It was a joy to get to know Vanessa and very interesting to hear what Broadway is like from somebody who has worked so many different shows. I hope this is not the last time I hear from Vanessa. I highly recommend!!
