To start, we will meet indoors at the Information Centre where I'll introduce the healing benefits of Earthing, barefooting, forest bathing and I will happily share stories from my Wim Hof Winter Expedition in Poland. You'll be taught how to safely explore Mother Nature in all seasons while in your bare feet.

We will enter the forest where you'll be guided to do a short meditation to increase mindfulness while noticing the sensations we feel. You will be encouraged to have fun and try new things like touching the snow, mud, moss etc with your bare hands. Make snow angels, do face plants in the snow, mud pies and more.

We will walk barefoot in the on the ground and try mud mucking, stepping on stones, feeling roots and moss, all in your bare feet. We'll explore the sensation of cold/hot/warm and try Earthing too. We'll stay barefoot for a safe period of time, dependant on the weather. Your safety is of utmost importance.

We'll take a break and have some Canadian Chaga Tea and a Cookie.

We will end back at the Information Centre where there are washrooms and WIFI.

Other things to note
Please arrive at our meeting point a few minutes early. Bring a daypack with extra dry socks and wear weather appropriate clothing. Bring a cushion or mat that you can use to sit on the ground.

Staðsetning

The location we have selected is in the region of world famous Muskoka; known for its lakes, forests and Canadian shield topography. It's important to us that your journey takes place in an environment that offers a variety of Mother Earth's features so that you will have an optimum barefoot earthing experience. There is an easily accessible wilderness trail in a natural protected forest with parking, a building and washrooms on the site.

I was so excited when this experience popped up right after booking our 6 day trip to Severn Bridge. I was a bit nervous as I’m weird about my feet and wondered how much I could fully immerse myself, but I was determined to fully commit. It was such an amazing experience. Sue is incredibly knowledgeable, so easy to talk to and just a pleasure to be around. I’m so thankful for this experience and felt very lucky that I happened to be the only one there. I’ve been barefoot for some time every day since and will keep it up. Such a powerful experience!

Sue is a very welcoming and knowledgeable host. She is (literally) down to earth and inspires you to incorporate barefooting in your day to day. The muskoka trail is a perfect spot for your first barefooting experience.

This was our first experience with barefoot walking. It was raining cats and dogs and I wasn’t sure of going through with it. But I am so glad that I did! I enjoyed feeling so close to nature, getting my feet dirty and connecting with the elements. And of course, Sue made it extra special with stories and experiences that she shared along the way!!! Highly recommended!
