Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not be the place that you will have your experience. After you book I will send out the location. It will be either Lutz, Odessa, or S. Saint Petersburg. If you book first, I can be flexible as to location. We will begin with a demonstration of the equipment used in beekeeping as well as dressing up in our full bee suits and then immediately start the hands-on experience. At this point you will be able to see, feel, hear and touch apis mellifera (the European honey bee!) as I guide you to a better understanding of these amazing creatures. During our time together you will manipulate equipment, ask questions and get a practical appreciation of the bees. After, you will enjoy a refreshment while we discuss your recent experiences. Upon completion, we provide a 5 oz honey jar and honey dipper to say thank you for being a beekeper for a day! Things to note: PLEASE BRING BOOTS or Tennis shoes. There is always a chance of getting stung, So if you are allergic to bees please choose a different experience. We want you to come away feeling alive and in tune with the natural world. You will be wearing a full bee suit.

Our kayaking eco tour explores both the wonderful waters & beautiful beaches of Shell Key Preserve. This is an entirely outdoors experience! We do have to adjust daily tour times to work with the tides+weather so PLEASE LET US KNOW if you are only available for the 1 time slot you select. We'll meet everyone at the launch, do intros, give waterproof bags,& get prepped for kayaking. No experience needed; we'll give everyone a paddling overview! Including traveling through some mangrove tunnels (tides permitting, mainly Mar-Oct) We'll also look for+talk about some of our incredible wildlife in the Preserve including dolphins, manatees, & other fish/birds! Take a clear kayaking adventure through Shell Key Preserve, a tropical paradise with unique marine habitats. Your knowledgeable ecotour guide will welcome you and provide brief paddling and safety instructions. Then, you’ll be loaded into your tandem clear kayak and off on a 2-hour adventure! Your tour guide leads the way around the mangrove islands, through the shallows, and to the beach. If the tide is high, your guide will show you a hidden mangrove tunnel. You’ll also take a break at Shell Key Beach, where you can collect shells, take in the views, and be surrounded by nature. While in the preserve, be on the lookout for a Manatee or the beautiful pink Roseate Spoonbills in the summer months. White Pelicans call the sandbars of Shell Key Preserve their home during the winter months! Dolphins frolic in crystal-clear waters throughout the year, and cormorants love to swim alongside your kayak. Don’t forget to look through your clear kayak for a unique view of the ecosystems that are underwater! Chances are that you’ll see a variety of wildlife, but sightings are random and not guaranteed.

A smiling face will greet you as soon as you arrive at our launch site. We will provide you with ice cold drinking water, a waterproof bag to protect your cellphone, keys, wallet, etc. We'll walk down to the kayak launch area and go over all safety precautions including proper use of your life jacket & provide a detailed paddle lesson. Once we are ready to paddle, we will embark on a two hour kayak adventure exploring beautiful Sarasota Bay and the world famous Lido Key mangrove tunnels. I'll tell you all about the interesting history of our beautiful bay as well as talk to you about the incredible flora and fauna we encounter! If we are lucky, we may even be visited be amazing dolphins and gentle manatees. Then, we will journey through Lido Key's spectacular mangrove tunnels while we learn of their importance to our coastal ecosystem. Once our tour is over, we will send you on your way with memories that will last a lifetime. Important note: I will message you immediately after you book to get your preference on single kayaks or tandems. As your host, I'll guide you through the Silver River via glass bottom kayaks! I'll make sure you experience all the hot spots that you're otherwise likely to miss on your own, while offering a unique underwater view of sunken shipwrecks, deep blue springs, caves, artifacts and more! We'll share our waterways with an abundance of wildlife such as manatees, alligators, turtles, otters, monkeys and several species of fish and birds! This is an experience you'll never forget; equal parts serene and adventurous and appropriate for all ages and experience levels! My glass bottom kayaks are the only of it's kind on the Silver River! They come with a sit-in-top design, which means they are well suited to all-weather paddling. The cockpit is dropped lower into the boat, which means stability is greatly increased, paddler comfort is enhanced, and wave impact is reduced. It's nearly impossible to tip or flip! My kayaks come standard with a transparent hull for underwater viewing all the way to the bottom, even in the deepest springs in the river. There's plenty of room for a comfortable, stable ride! I would love to guide you in a gentle and relaxing sunset beach yoga flow with your toes in the lovely white sand of Longboat Key! We will incorporate pranayama (breath work), stretching, sun salutations, hip openers, and heart openers. We will flow on a gorgeous beach as we listen to the waves roll in and watch the sky transform with color as the sun melts into the water. You will leave feeling more calm, peaceful, and relaxed, as well as being more in tune with the beautiful nature around you.

Get ready to learn how to surf! First we'll start out on the sand and learn the basics of surfing, and about ocean safety. Then you will learn how to properly carry and manage your surfboard. Then we'll move on to the "pop up" (standing on the surfboard from the laying down position) & "turtle roll" techniques. You will also learn how to spot a sand bar, rip currents & rip tides, & choose the best waves in the line up for you. Once you feel comfortable, we'll go in the ocean, catch waves & stand up! Other things to note: Please be sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes early to ensure you find parking. It can get busy at the beach and parking is limited. Call/Text your instructor once you arrive.

After boarding the boat and a brief safety orientation, we'll take off towards Coffee Pot Bayou and tour the beautiful neighborhoods of Snell Isle while looking for dolphins along the way! Weather permitting, you may get off at the sandbar and swim.
